Description

This internship provides exposure to executive office operations within a municipal context. The successful candidate will gain valuable experience in executive administration, governance support, and professional communication, contributing to efficient service delivery and ethical leadership within the City’s Community Development Department

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative, secretarial, and executive support to the Office of the Executive Director: Community Development
  • Assist in maintaining efficient communication channels, record-keeping systems, and meeting coordination
  • Manage diary and scheduling functions, ensuring timely preparation for executive meetings and events
  • Support the filing, retrieval, and tracking of records, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity
  • Assist with general office administration and frontline support to enhance operational efficiency
  • Prepare, format, and disseminate routine correspondence and communication
  • Provide logistical support for Executive Director’s meetings, including scheduling, venue setup, and document preparation
  • Assist in HR and office logistics, including staff coordination and basic governance documentation
  • Gain practical exposure to executive-level operations, governance protocols, and municipal management practices

Qualifications

  • A Diploma or Degree in Public Administration, Office Management, or Secretarial Studies
